In our two previous guides, we told you how to make MetaMask and Ronin wallets. Now, it is time to show you how to buy Axie.
Step 1: Buy ETH
You need ETH to buy them. You can buy it on any exchanges which you prefer, for instance via P2P or CEX.
If you buy on CEX, do not forget that you will need to send it to your wallet you are going to play with.
On centralized exchanges, you can do this in the tab with your balance, find the “Withdraw” button and transfer ETH to your MetaMask.
Step 2: Add a Chrome extension
Once ETH is in your wallet, you need the Freak’s Axie extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/freaks-axie-extension/
Add it to your browser and activate.
Step 3: Axies Marketplace
Step 3.1: registering and depositing ETH
After activation and going to the extension, you will be prompted to select a wallet:
Choose MetaMask as we sent ETH to it.
Next, you will go through a short registration procedure and get full access to the site.
Next, you will need to click on the Bridge button:
You will be taken to the next section, in which you will need to click: “Deposit”.
After that your MetaMask will be linked to your Ronin Wallet.
In the Ronin Wallet field, you will need to insert your wallet address, then select Asset (naturally, this is ETH) and the amount. We do not advise you to insert MAX, as you will have to pay for gas.
In consequence you will see something like this:
You will receive Wrapped ETH to your Ronin wallet, which you can pay with on the marketplace.
Step 3.2: Buy Axies
Fine. Now go to the marketplace!
When you open this tab, you will see a list of Axies available for purchase. As soon as you go to the tab of the Axie you like, you will see his strength indicators.
If everything suits you, click on the Buy now button:
Ready! You have bought your first Axie!
